![]() The following lines are the logs when playing the 24 bit 192 k/hz file via my UPNP renderer in my DAC. > squeezelite-esp32 both in wav and pcm mode and it worked fine > player.source logging set to info) because I tried on my > I'll need a bit more information then (a server.log file with No bitperfect playback of wavfileswith newer LMS versions ![]() The systems do behave differnt and the question is why. So without LMS and with the Lumin player connected via usb to the DAC every thing is fine for the MSB, but when playing files via LMS, either with the PI connected via usb or via the renderer connected via the UPNP bridge, the DAC does not get enough information to ahndle the played files as bit perfect. The DAC recognizes the testfiles and also the firmware update is working. * With my Lumin player and the regarding Lumin app every thing is fine. * With the renderer in the DAC, which is connected via the upnp bridge, I can only play the 16 bit files but AFAIR also the DAC does not recognize them as bit perfect. So I think the DAC does not recognize them as bit perfect. * With my old 1.8 squeezelite version I can play all files (16 and 24 bit) bit files, but the DAC does not show the bitrate. >Have you tested with LMS with MSB bit perfect test files ? ![]() After the update the DAC is rebooting automaticaly and the new firmware is running. I do not have to enter a special mode for the update, just playing the firmware file is starting the update process. >It's possible the metadata in the WAV header is required by the DAC. >If I read it correctly, the DAC has to be put in a special mode and then >Your firmware contain "standard metadata" - title, album >The WAV header can contain metadata not just format.
